Medservice Plus automated a warehouse in Kazakhstan using SAP EWM

2018: Project completion on automation of a warehouse in Almaty based on SAP EWM

On May 25, 2018 it became known that the TeamIdea company and Medservice plus completed the project on automation of a warehouse complex of class "A" in Almaty.

The decision on SAP implementation of EWM was made in connection with the active growth of business of the company: in 2016 capacity of a warehouse of Medservice plus reached a pica that did not allow to increase the volume of shipments in the region. For effective management of resources, completely automated warehouse complex the SAP EWM system was selected. The warehouse configuration allows to optimize work on inventory management now and to react timely to change of market requirements. At present project works on implementation of advanced functionality of SAP EWM for introduction of a piece-work pay of workers and providing 3PL of services on a warehouse complex are conducted.

Thanks to the automated pipeline line of the Austrian SSI SCHAEFER working under control of the SAP EWM system, goods are accepted and are automatically brought in a system. Also, SAP implementation of EWM allowed to solve strategic problems of increase in efficiency of a warehouse complex of Medservice plus. The company had an opportunity to configure the different strategy of management of warehouses and warehouse transactions, including drawing up the schedule of acceptance and shipment of goods, operation on automatic marking of compliance and creation of accompanying documents. The warehouse completely satisfies requirement of the company for storage of products and maintenance of an optimal trade inventory, and possibilities of the IT system allow to expand volumes of transactions and the range practically without restrictions. Medservice plus considers prospect of replication of the SAP EWM system in the branches.
