On June 17, 2016 SAP CIS company together with MegaFon signed the memorandum of the strategic partnership providing the Russia's first implementation of the latest IT system — SAP S4/HANA. System implementation cost, including buying solution and its installation, including replacement of the server hardware, within 3 years will be about 1.5 billion rubles.

Within partnership in three years of the company will work jointly on digital transformation of MegaFon. In particular, within business transformation process, the start is given to implementation of the latest product S4/HANA. Project implementation assumes reengineering of the centralized ERP system of MegaFon, reorganization and simplification of the existing business processes. For example, the company will implement the high-automated control system for maintenance and repair of network equipment which it is expected will give economic effect due to more rational planning and distribution. Transition to use of more modern and a user-friendly interface based on Fiori will be one of noticeable results of system implementation.

Agreement of Megafon and SAP

Besides, MegaFon and SAP will be engaged in development of new products and training of employees in such directions as management of client experience, the analysis of profitability of business using Big Data, personnel management, upgrade of interfaces and mobile solutions, maintenance and repair and also Internet of Things. Support of projects will be performed on a contractual basis using bonus services of the Global support service of SAP and custom services of development SAP Consulting.

The general service center in Samara will work at SAP S4/HANA

In July, 2016 it became known that MegaFon starts the General service center in Samara which will undertake the solution of standard workflows of the operator. Economy of the company after a release of the project at full capacity will make more than 470 million rubles a year.

The purposes of creation of the General Service Center (GSC) are increase in efficiency and controllability of business and also redirection of employees on the solution of more difficult tasks for the transfer account in OTsO of standard business processes: accounting and reporting, financial control and treasury, transfer of a part of control functions by personnel, planning and support of orders, administration of receivables and support of transactions of corporate business.

The general service center is selected in separate structure and will be engaged in support of workflows of all branches and also subsidiary companies of MegaFon. Since July to service passes the Volga region branch into OTsO, and until the end of 2016 – Capital branch. All other branches and subsidiary companies will be transferred to service in OTsO until the end of 2017.

In 2018 the project will appear at full capacity. Savings from implementation of new structure will make more than 470 million rubles a year due to centralization, business process optimizations and cutting of costs for their maintenance. The center will work at the latest software, including on the SAP S4/HANA IT-system. Number of staff of OTsO will be about 900 people whose considerable part will turn into new structure from divisions of the company.
