Melon Fashion Group completed audit of efficiency of 1C

On December 21, 2015 Corus Consulting completed the project on technical express performance review of key transactions of the application of 1C in JSC Melon Fashion Group.

Project Tasks

In JSC Melon Fashion Group the application on the basis of the 1C software product which configuration over the years underwent modifications according to the growing requirements of the company is used. Users of a system - about 1 thousand employees. Business development and accumulation of necessary information for processing and functional load of a system caused need of carrying out performance review of the application for making decision on further development.

Business of Group reaches qualitatively new level of development. For development of the effective strategy of development for functionality of IT systems taking into account the perspective growth of loading in the near future we needed to create a clear picture of their present status. For carrying out audit, development of a packet of recommendations and the development plan for a 1C system we addressed to Corus Consulting: specialists of the company have broad experience of implementing solutions based on 1C and implementation of complex projects in the field of retail. Project Progress

Specialists of Corus Consulting and administrators of Melon Fashion Group carried out express audit on 20 key transactions, processed information on a number of indicators - target time, priorities within workflow in a system, the most often arising problems at the main users. Then collected statistics of accomplishment of key transactions (embedding of measurements, accumulation of statistics), made the analysis of collected data and prepared the report on the express analysis.

Project Results

Upon termination of the project recommendations about optimization of specific transactions and development of a system in general, the general recommendations about setup of the equipment and software of the MS SQL servers and 1C are prepared.

The project was performed according to requirements of a technique of APDEX – the widespread international standard of assessment of performance of information systems which allows not only to receive objective integrated assessment of performance of systems on the 1C: Enterprise platform, but also to precisely formulate the fields of efforts of IT department for effective work of information systems of the retailer. We prepared the plan of implementation of all recommendations of this audit, we introduce amendments in system architecture and system settings, we carry out reengineering of a program code and hardware optimization for the maximum compliance to the requirements put in the strategic plan of development of Melon Fashion Group. Such work – permanent process, however, in the current year we standardized process of audit of 1C by a technique of APDEX. In 2016 we are going to book already independently repeated audit of all IT systems of Group on a new technique, and specialists of Corus Consulting, in turn, will act as the curator of this project.
