"Mercury" implements Microsoft Dynamics AX

The CORUS Consulting group and the Mercury Group, the largest distributor of luxury goods in the Russian market, began the joint project on upgrade of Business Process Management Suite of the Moscow TSUM and St. Petersburg DLT.

Within the project a transfer of industry solution "KORUS Retail" on the new version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and automation of a financial circuit – business processes of management accounting, treasury, cash flow and formation of managerial balance will be made. The updated solution will provide support of business processes of capital TSUM and also DLT department store (The house of the Leningrad trade, St. Petersburg) which opening after reconstruction is planned in March, 2012.

Cooperation of Corus Consulting and Mercury holding successfully develops since 2004 when in the Moscow TSUM the industry solution "KORUS|Retail" based on Microsoft Axapta 3.0 was implemented. For automation of the seller of luxury goods, largest in Russia, and haute couture in industry solution "KORUS|Retail" was implemented the specific functionality characteristic to a fashion retail segment. A system covered all main business processes of TSUM: melkopartionny accounting, purchases and logistics, management of programs of loyalty of buyers, planning and management of seasonal campaigns, management of merchandising, analytics and forecasting of sales.

A system was created with active participation of IT specialists of TSUM, and after project completion its further development was performed by an IT team of the customer. As the head of development and maintenances of the IC Evgeny Komarov notes, "thanks to advanced functionality of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 we can involve as much as possible standard systems capabilities and at the same time save the accumulated experience of management of such tasks, specific to fashion-retail, as accounting on collections, brands, tsvetorazmerny characteristics and some other".

The updated system will also be used for support of business processes of other large shopping center – DLT in St. Petersburg. DLT, as well as TSUM, has unique history: it is founded in 1908 and is one of the most known and large trade enterprises in Russia. Since 2004 DLT which is in the historical building in the center of St. Petersburg was closed on reconstruction, costs for which made about 100 million dollars. Reconstruction allowed to double floor spaces of department store – to 20000 sq.m. - and to create in this space the most comfortable atmosphere for buyers. In the updated department store luxury-brands which official distributor is the Mercury Group - Dolce&Gabbana, Tod’s, Polo Ralph Lauren, YSL, Bottega Veneta, Brioni, Tom Ford, Gucci and others will be provided. Also the restaurant of high kitchen will become a part of the shopping complex.

The new IT system is going to start to official opening of DLT in February, 2012.
