The Metallurg bank implemented the solution Smart PassportBox for recognition of the Russian Federation citizen passport

The Metallurg commercial bank selected the solution of the Russian developer of Smart Engines company for recognition of Russian Federation citizen passports. For document creation when carrying out currency exchange transactions with individuals at offices of bank video scanners of the documents Smart PassportBox are installed.

Before installation of the Smart PassportBox video scanners data from passports of clients were entered by employees manually that took a lot of time. In selection process of the solution on automation of this process, in addition to the video scanner of the documents Smart PassportBox, normal flat and specialized passport bed scanners were considered.

As a result the preference was to the Smart PassportBox video scanner which, according to Smart Engines, provides scanning and recognition of all data on a Russian Federation citizen passport turn in 1-2 seconds. The video scanner is connected to the computer through USB, and the program part which is responsible for recognition of data is integrated with the front office systems by means of simple API.

Now to the staff of Metallurgist for document creation when carrying out transactions with currency, requiring providing the Russian Federation citizen passport by the client, it is enough to put the document on the reading-out surface of the video scanner. After that passport details will automatically be recognized and entered to the corresponding fields of the accounting system of bank in which printed forms for carrying out currency transaction form.
