Metsa Tissue increases business performance operating capacities of DPC

The Tieto company completed the project of upgrade of IT processes in Metsa Tissue Russia. Complex improvement of IT infrastructure of the customer became a result.

Start of Project

In 2011 the management of Metsa Tissue Russia came to a conclusion about what the existing IT infrastructure does not satisfy to business needs of the company. For development new approach in management of IT processes was required. Need for higher availability and capacity of servers and also upgrade of a monitoring system of IT infrastructure was designated.

Solution

Services of the Moscow DPC of Tieto were provided to Metsa Tissue Russia company. The highly reliable equipment of DPC guarantees safety of connection and provides customers with virtual capacities and services of backup and data recovery. The technical support including risk management and permission of technical issues will be performed in two languages by service Service Desk of Tieto company in St. Petersburg, and monitoring and control over operation of servers – technical support service of Tieto in Ostrava (Czech Republic). Thanks to the high quality standards and ensuring business continuity, the provided capacities allow to increase much performance and efficiency of transactions of the customer. Effects

In the 2012th year the Metsa Tissue company removed servers from the data-center of Tieto and stopped this project.
