2019: Automation of collecting, data processing and reporting

On August 22, 2019 the company Navicon reported that it in a complex automated to the analyst in MEDSI based on analytical technologies from global vendor Microsoft. Implementation in MEDSI IT- products Microsoft SQL Server also Microsoft Power BI allowed to adjust collecting and storage information from different accounting systems groups in uniform storage. It considerably simplified creation of the corporate reporting and the deep analysis data about financial and productive activity of network of clinics.

According to the company, for increase in efficiency of work with data it was necessary to centralize process of data collection and processing from all clinics of MEDSI. Therefore it was decided to implement in group the end-to-end system of the analytical reporting including the uniform data warehouse based on the Microsoft SQL Server and instruments of visualization Microsoft Power BI. The project was implemented by Navicon system integrator.

Having implemented the Microsoft SQL Server platform which contains instruments of extraction, conversions and data loadings (ETL) of any format and from any sources, it was succeeded to adjust collecting of the consolidated information to the uniform data warehouse.

Within the project based on the Microsoft SQL Server the tabulyarny analytical model for employees of financial and commercial blocks of MEDSI which is based on the data on organization activity from medical information systems MeDialog and Infoklinika and also systems of accounting of 1C (1C: Holding Management, 1C: Payroll and HR Management) was developed. Consolidation of data on profit, costs, visits, unique patients of each of the asset entering into group was adjusted. As a result financial analysts and the management of MEDSI got access to "a uniform source of the truth" about all financial and production processes in the organization which forms a basis for carrying out deep – with high detailing – the analysis of its activity.

Besides, to accelerate processing of data of MEDSI and extraction from them of the insights important for growth and business development the Microsoft Power BI tools are implemented. Using instruments of visualization specialists of the sales department can use the acquired information not only for drawing up reports, but also business strategy correction. Now the analytical system created for MEDSI processes over 1 terabyte of data for each half a year, using 130 groups of measures and 20 groups of measurements for their analysis. Thanks to such accuracy and detailing employees can carry out analytics up to a copy of the service rendered to the patient, keep track of efficiency of doctors, configure techniques of distribution of indirect costs to the CFD, count cost value of the rendered services.

Implementation of BI became for us the "litmus piece of paper" which revealed all problems with data in systems sources. The solution allowed to look at digits more deeply: see where completions in the systems of analytics are necessary, to fail before the lowest detailing and to estimate work of medical personnel, to analyze efficiency of the carried-out programs and even a specific copy of service. For August, 2019 the system of the analytical reporting is used by 40 employees of MEDSI, including TOP MANAGEMENT of the company.

For Medsi group we managed to create the complex and constantly developing analytical product. So, an analytical system is easily scaled: after work on financial and commercial blocks we started connection of two more – HR and the medical module intended for the analysis of productive activity of the organization. In the long term such analytical IT ekosistema' will be able to cover one and all processes in the organizations of any profile with a large number of departments or branches.
