The Ministry of Education of Stavropol Krai implements the system of distance learning

On November 21, 2013 the CROC company announced project implementation of system implementation of distance learning by request of the Ministry of Education of Stavropol Krai by means of equipment of 34 schools the corresponding equipment.

"Some children have no opportunity to attend school, and the problem of education is particularly acute for handicapped children whom in Stavropol Krai about 4 thousand. Many of them study at home – to them teachers come from schools, but it is not enough for full education. Our task – to create equal conditions of training for all. It to make one of optimal methods – to provide remote access to occupations. Remote education officially exists in Russia since 1997, and since 2012 it is authorized to provide training by means of telecommunication equipment, and we seized this opportunity. Now our educational institutions are equipped with specialized complexes of distance learning (TsDO), and pupils irrespective of where they are, can ask at any time a question, participate in a discussion with schoolmates", – Galina Zubenko, temporarily the acting as the Minister of Education of Stavropol Krai noted.

"For remote training the pupils who are at home need to have only an Internet access and earphones with the microphone. They are connected to a class in which there passes the lesson, and can ask the questions aloud – as well as during the classroom occupation. Besides, it is possible to invite to participation and other schools: in this case process control happens to the help of the program developed by CROC. Among its functions – sending and viewing text questions, providing and a request of a word. Thus, the pupils who do not have an opportunity physically to visit educational institutions, can gain knowledge, using modern approach, and schools – to give joint classes, to exchange useful experience", – Mikhail Nikiforov, the associate director of department of telecommunications of CROC comments.

For carrying out distance learning in the same mode, as classroom, specialists of CROC used the VIDEOCONFERENCING equipment of Polycom. The Eagle Eye Director device automatically points the camera at speaking at inclusion of the microphone as though participants looked at it. The same principle at the equipment UC Board which is installed on a marker board. With its help participants of process of distance learning can see a board without distortions, and all changes on it – are displayed in real time. These components provide so-called effect of presence that is important at remote training.

"Use of VKS gradually ceases to be limited to the field of business, even more often educational institutions apply these technologies to the organization of distance learning. Education at distance, via the Internet – a new trend which is already widely known in the West and gains popularity in Russia.
