The Ministry of Health of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic brings new DPC into operation

The STABOL company together with Cisco completed the project on creation of the distributed data processing center (DPC) for a health care system of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic, the press service of integrator reported on January 25, 2013.

Background

Creation of geographically distributed DPC corresponds to tasks of the regional program "Upgrade of Health Care of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic for 2011-2012", providing centralization and the continuity of medical processes. Use of information technologies will allow to overcome territorial remoteness of rural hospitals and to accelerate rendering highly skilled medical care.

Solution

The data processing center integrates 20 servers on two geographically distributed platforms in Yakutsk and is created on the basis of such solutions of Cisco as the Cisco switches Nexus 4001I and 5548UP, Cisco ASR 1006 routers and also the Cisco switches Catalyst 4507. Such architecture allows to support functioning of numerous applications and operating systems using a single network of resources, providing also a scaling option of proposed solutions.

In the data processing center created according to the Fibre Channel over Ethernet standard (FCoE) the convergent data transmission medium is used. Potential speed of connection to DPC reaches 10 Gbps. Cisco ASR routers and the Cisco switches Catalyst provide high quality of the accepted data and expanded control of video transmission on network using monitoring in real time, the accelerated diagnostics and preinstallation assessment.
