Creation of a resource was directed to increase in efficiency of information support of activity of staff of Minpromtorg of Russia due to systematization of storage of electronic documents of archive funds and the current document flow of the Ministry. Besides, it allowed to create necessary conditions for opening of access to historical and significant electronic documents of archive of the Ministry through the Internet.

By the beginning of work documents of archive funds of Minpromtorg of Russia were located in three geographically distributed buildings of Moscow. Creation of a system of electronic archive allowed to collect geographically distributed data in uniform electronic fund, to automate request processing of the population to archive documents, and to upload a part of historically significant documents publicly. In the created resource it is possible to perform full-text search for documents and also to provide the structured storage of electronic documents. The created system of electronic archive is integrated with an electronic document management system of the Ministry.

In only three years more than 450 thousand sheets from which for 20 thousand full text recognition was carried out were scanned. These are personal records of staff of the State Committee on the defense equipment, orders on staff on 17 archive funds of the Ministry, orders on primary activity of Minpromtorg, lists of winners of the Stalin award and order bearers.

Further Minpromtorg of Russia is going to fill up a system with new types of information resources on different activities of the Ministry, including the ship-building, aviation, automobile, agricultural, radio-electronic, forest and easy industries and also defense and industrial and chemical tekhnologichensky complexes.
