Moscow Exchange is going to move computing powers to the new platform

In 2016 the data center of DataSpace became the main data processing center (DPC) of the Moscow Exchange. The Moscow Exchange is the leading marketplace of Russia offering to the clients such tools as actions, bonds, derivatives, currency pairs, tools of short-term market and exchange commodities. In Dataspace trade, clearing and depository platforms are unrolled, the place is provided for placement of the equipment of clients of the Moscow Exchange.


On November 11, 2014 the Moscow Exchange announced the beginning of the joint project with DataSpace company where DPC provider acts as service provider of a data processing center.

Project Tasks

In 2016 the Moscow Exchange is going to complete transfer of the main computing powers (trade and clearing platforms and zones of joint placement of the client equipment) in DPC DataSpace1 - it will become the main data center of the exchange.

Project Progress

The first stage, on the basis of DPC of DataSpace1 plans creation of a reserve data processing center of the exchange, in 2015.

The DPC of DataSpace1 has the certificate of Tier III Operational Sustainability-Gold from Uptime Institute.

Sergey Polyakov, the managing director for information technologies of the Moscow Exchange, noted: "Having carefully analyzed market offers, we selected DataSpace for a role of our main data center. Security and existence of the certificate of operational stability of Tier III Gold became the main factors which influenced our solution. We look forward to 2016 when our main infrastructure of biddings finds the new house".
David Hamner, the chairman of the board of directors of DataSpace, said: "We are glad to an opportunity to cooperate with the Moscow Exchange and we are proud of the fact that the DPC of DataSpace1 was selected for its faultless safety, reliability and high standards of operation. Sergey Rasskazov, the president of DataSpace, told: "The demands made to the infrastructure necessary for processing of the large-scale and constantly continuing grow data volumes, become more and more strict. If the companies try to provide independently compliance to such requirements, then it involves need of very considerable investments. Recently we see that the increasing number of clients selects external suppliers of services as it allows them to meet the requirements to reliability and security becoming more and more strict, and at the same time is more profitable from the economic and operational points of view. The market of data processing centers reacted to transition to new model of services and continues to develop actively both quantitatively, and is qualitative".

In September, 2016 stress testing is held, one of the purposes of which is operational testing of the TKS complex with DPC DataSpace as the basic.
