The project destroying the myth about the strategy of monovendor development of VKS of solutions in the energy sector of the Russian Federation

Center of Information Technologies SEVER LLC in consortium with Energomontazhproyekt LLC company completed the construction of video of a conference system between the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and JSC Mosenergo company. Within this project there was consolidation of two MCU servers (Polycom and LifeSize), on the basis of protocols of interaction H.263, H.264. From the Ministry the MCU server of Polycom was used, and from Mosenergo of LifeSize. The equipment LifeSize in negotiation integrated several screens and the existing analog cameras of production of Sony company. Also deep integration allowed to use the conference system existing audio earlier installed in JSC Mosenergo company, including selector communication for what CIT NORTH LLC was required to rebuild the created solution at the level of masshtabator and control panels the Cristron conference. The screens installed in JSC Mosenergo company were connected to the solution VIDEOCONFERENCING (video conference communication) as independent points, it allowed to organize one of the best world VKS of the systems of the energy company.

The qualitative solution VIDEOCONFERENCING from JSC Mosenergo company allows to transfer the picture in the Full HD format. Work on the VKS expansion of the solution of JSC Mosenergo will be continued further. What upgrade of the software on the server of MCU Polycom from the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation will be made for, this necessary condition of high-quality work of H.264 protocol.

According to CIT the North, this project destroyed the myth about the strategy of monovendor development of VKS of solutions in the energy sector of the Russian Federation, i.e. the choice of one producer as the supplier of VKS of the equipment. As an alternative of monovendor development the strategy of the standardized protocols, i.e. equipment selection, supporting the standardized protocol acts. It should be noted that this strategy of the standardized protocols is accepted around the world as only the correct development strategy global VKS of systems. The first strategy leads to the market monopolization and also to creation of the low-quality solution further as one producer is not able to support high-quality operation of the equipment at all levels of technical solution of VKS (access, switching, services, etc.). In turn the strategy of the standardized protocols means use of several vendors if the vendor is not in time with delivery of more perfect equipment, that solution using the standard protocol easily integrates the equipment of other producer. The most amazing VKS of solutions in development that the first strategy overflows in the second sooner or later.
