NIS GLONASS will create the logistic transport center in Sochi

ANO Transport Directorate of the Olympic Games signed the agreement with NIS GLONASS on creation of the logistic transport center for control and management of passenger traffics and the movement of loads in the city of Sochi.

The agreement is provided by design of the automated control system of the logistic transport center (LTTs ACS) and buildings for its placement. Creation of LTTs will allow to manage in real time cargo and passenger transport as at a stage of preparation for the Olympic Games, and an input of their carrying out. Besides, the created ACS of LTTs will ensure safety of freight and passenger traffic due to use of the GLONASS domestic technologies.

Now ANO TDOI and NIS GLONASS already conduct active work within the project. "the pilot zone" for working off of a system is started, uniform technical requirements to telematic operators, suppliers of the navigation and coherent equipment and the transport companies working at the Sochi market are developed.

According to technical requirements to LTTs ACS all navigation and coherent equipment will be equipped with double-system GLONASSGPS receivers that will allow to increase significantly the accuracy of determination of coordinates of the vehicle and will increase reliability of acceptance of satellite navigation signals in the conditions of a difficult mountainous terrain.

"The LTTs ACS project will increase efficiency of use of a transport complex thanks to maintenance of preparation reliable navigation information and holding the Olympic Games of 2014", - the CEO of NIS Gurko Alexander said.

According to the CEO of ANO Transport Directorate of the Olympic Games Sergey Kozyrev, - "effectively working management system for transport on the basis of an ACS of LTTs will become the base for upgrade and development of a transport complex of Sochi".
