Implementation of DeviceLock in NVOATEK-Tarkosaleneftegaz

The Novatek-Tarkosaleneftegaz company – Novatek affiliated enterprise, the largest independent producer of gas in Russia, carries out exploration and production of hydrocarbons on the fields located in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area (YNAA). IT infrastructure of the company includes more than 500 workstations and is constructed by the principle of "star" when from the central office control of a set of territorially remote objects is exercised: fields, crafts, separate divisions.

Standard means of the Microsoft Windows operating system and group security policies of the Active Directory the problem of data protection and information environment of the company was not solved fully. Novatek-Tarkosaleneftegaz held testing of the software products presented at the Russian market and based on large-scale testing selected the DeviceLock software product of Smart Line Ink company.

Security policy in the company "Novatek-Tarkosaleneftegaz is constantly improved, and implementation of DeviceLock solved a considerable part of problems of potential leak of information, important for the organization, installation and use of the non-licensed software which is the main channel of hit on workstations of users and in a local computer network of viruses and other destructive software.
