2025: Launch of trading on the spot grain market in two-way anonymous auction-

The National Commodity Exchange (NTB) launched trading on the spot grain market in the mode of a bilateral anonymous auction. Agropromcifra announced this on January 20, 2026.

The technological core of the project was the digital platform developed by the IT company Agropromcipra. The solution ensures the integration of exchange services with the state systems of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia (GIS of the Ministry of Agriculture).

A key innovation is a technology gateway that is a game changer. If earlier access to the organized market was associated with bureaucratic and logistical barriers, now any producer verified in the FSIS "Zerno" can sell a batch of grain on the same conditions as large holdings.

The Agropromcipra platform does not just automate access to the exchange - it creates a technological foundation for a transparent, effective and competitive market, ensuring the digital sovereignty of the key sectoral economy.

The key technological advantage is the integration of exchange services and state systems of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, - said Olga Chebunina, General Director of Agropromcifra JSC. - This will make it possible to ensure participation in transactions of only verified agricultural producers. A secure digital environment would reduce reputational and financial risks to both sides of the deal.

As part of the launch of spot trading with NTB grain, the admission of customers to organized trading was significantly simplified: entry through the personal account using the client's electronic signature made it possible to automatically fill out the main part of the documents, and the integration of the exchange infrastructure with the information systems of the agro-industrial complex ensured the receipt of the necessary information and documents in automatic mode. This allows you to allow the client to bid in 48 hours and ensure the participation of reliable sellers and buyers in the auction.

Another plus for farmers will be the integration of the exchange with the electronic platforms "Freight Transportation" and "Commodity Supply Operator." As a result, this will create convenient conditions for manufacturers to enter the stock market and increase the efficiency of the sale of their products.

Access to trading can also be obtained through a single digital platform of the Ministry of Agriculture using the "I want to go to the exchange" button.

The launch of the platform changes the architecture of commodity flows. A small manufacturer gets a tool to work with the final exporter on transparent terms, seeing the market price in real time. For exporting buyers, this means expanding and diversifying the supplier pool, which should increase price competition on the seller's side.

According to Kirill Popov, director of NTB, this digital procedure for admission to trading is "real know-how on the stock market."

The successful start of trading on export bases is a strategic step towards a transparent and effective Russian grain market, - said Kirill Popov, director of NTB. - A new digital procedure for admission to trading has been created, which ensures both the admission of the participant and his assessment so that counterparties are as confident as possible in the integrity of all participants.

As of January 2026, more than 30 grain market participants joined the trading, including large exporting companies, agricultural producers and traders.

The long-term effect of the project will depend on the readiness of agricultural producers themselves to rebuild sales chains, as well as on the platform's ability to scale and maintain high liquidity. However, it is already obvious that Agropromcipra has not created an IT service, but a digital ecosystem that can potentially increase the efficiency of the entire agricultural sector.

The launch of the auction was implemented thanks to active cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Bank of Russia, the Union of Grain Exporters and Producers, as well as grain market participants.

On the first day of trading, seven transactions were concluded with a total volume of 15.9 million rubles or 1,000 tons of grain. Six transactions were concluded with automotive delivery with a market price of 15,642 rubles per ton, one transaction with railway delivery at a price of 16,500 rubles per ton.
