2023: Creation of a digital passenger transportation service
The main goal of the project is to create a unified automated system for submitting, managing and processing applications for providing employees with corporate transport, and, as a result, reduce the labor costs of the transport coordination group, optimize processes and reduce transportation costs.
Project objectives
- Avoiding disparate sources of application generation and creating a single window for providing corporate transport in compliance with all customer regulations.
- Creation of a single full-fledged automated workplace of the coordinator-logician to work with applications for transport provision.
- Implementation of a tool to track the status of a corporate transport application "in real time."
- Develop a route planning module using an external service Yandex.Maps to enable optimal real-time road-based route generation.
- Creation of a flexible mechanism for route formation, modification of routes already created and dissolution of planned routes, with the possibility to make changes to the request at any time.
Project Description
During the project, a single digital tool was developed using the Yandex.Maps service. The system consists of a WEB interface and a mobile application:
- WEB interface of the system for the work of coordinators-logicians and office employees.
- Cross-platform mobile application for all employees of the TV channel.
The unified system automates the following customer business processes:
- Creation of applications for the use of corporate transport, typification of applications and registration of scheduled time.
- Approval of requests for routes in accordance with the organizational structure of the TV channel.
- Accounting of created applications and the ability to control the use of corporate transport.
- Prioritization and distribution of applications by the coordinator-logician.
- Route formation and display of all route points on the map.
Within the framework of a unified automated system for providing employees with corporate transport, an automated workplace for a coordinator-logist was developed. Implemented AWS capabilities:
- Acceptance and processing of received applications, at least 120 applications per shift, more than 250 passengers to move.
- Route planning based on the Yandex.Maps mapping service.
- Building and changing the required route on the map taking into account the road situation in real time.
- View the basis of information about the points of arrival/departure of a specific route (type/time/address).
- Departure/arrival icons on the map.
- Display multiple routes on the map at the same time for possible optimization.
- Status model of the route.
- User-friendly interface for rescheduling/disbanding a route (deleting or transferring one or more requisitions simultaneously from one route to another).
- Interfaces with the list of requisitions to be planned as part of the shift and the interface of the generated routes.
- Integration into the Yandex.Maps system, which most conveniently adjusts to the screen of the coordinator-logist.
Project results
- Transfer of processes from manual to digital processes by creating AWSs of logicians coordinators and applications for submitting applications for the use of corporate transport with an intuitive interface for users.
- After the implementation of the system, the labor costs for processing applications and planning routes decreased by 30%.
- We have developed a stable fault-tolerant system that allows you to constantly expand the number of new users without losing performance.
