"Neometry" on December 20, 2022 shared the stages of the introduction of BIM in construction projects.

It is planned to complete testing of the software and begin its full use next year, said Denis Bida, director of the developer's automation department.

The information modeling system that Neometry is implementing consists of eight blocks. A methodology was developed for each - documentation on approaches and use. All software of domestic production, with the exception of computer-aided design (CAD).

Implementing BIM is a priority project for the company. We did not purchase a single product on the market, since the presented options do not correspond to our tasks. It would take a long time to make your own solution. As a result, Neometry stopped at creating separate integrated modules. To implement this task, the company turned to external developers for help, - explained Denis Bida.

The use of the methodology made it possible to optimize many processes when implementing information modeling, but this required high qualifications of designers and additional time for training and retraining programmers.

As of December 2022, work is underway on several blocks at once, which accelerates the product launch process. A separate team is working on the creation of BIM, consisting of the system administrator, designers, project manager, BIM manager, BIM coordinators, estimators and other employees. In total, about 150 employees are involved. According to Denis Bida, the use of digital solutions allows you to quickly simulate various scenarios in design and construction, as well as respond faster to changes in the project. In addition, the process of implementing all stages of work becomes much more transparent.
