The Nordea Bank announced in April, 2014 implementation of the 3D Secure technology developed by international payment systems of Visa International and MasterCard Worldwide for additional protection at payment of purchases on the Internet.
Use of 3D Secure technology allows to make quickly and safely payments. After input of details of the card on the website of the seller, the client is redirected on the special Internet page for input of the one-time password received on mobile phone number which is specified by the client at connection of the card to 3D Secure or to service Mobile bank. The bank carries out an inspection of the one-time password entered by the client and sends to the website permission to carrying out transaction. All verification process of payment takes no more than a minute.
Payment confirmation by the one-time password is applied when carrying out transactions via the websites which are certified by international payment systems of Visa International and MasterCard Worldwide on 3D Secure technology.
