2012: Development of expert system of real time for control of the Vanyukova No. 3 furnace
Amount of Technologies company completed development of expert system of real time for control of the furnace Vanyukov No. 3 (PV-3) of the Copper plant JSC Norilsk Nickel MMC. In December, 2012 at the plant trial operation of the Intellectual ACS of the furnace of Vanyukov on the Gensym G2 platform began. Implementation of this system will allow to increase process performance of melting: stabilize quality of matte, reduce losses of non-ferrous metals, reduce a consumption of natural gas and oxygen.
The intellectual ACS is the expert system considerably expanding functionality of the existing PCSs of the furnace of Vanyukov. Use in the system of artificial intelligence technologies allows to estimate operation of the furnace even by such parameters which could not be measured earlier. For example, a system in real time carries out quality evaluation of loading, temperature in a reactionary zone of the furnace and degree of coordination of physical and chemical processes in a fusion bathtub.
On the basis of the comprehensive analysis of process of melting and actions of the operator a system predicts possible violations in technology process and issues to the operator of the recommendation, the effective objectives allowing to implement on quality and quantity of products of melting.
The intellectual ACS of the furnace of Vanyukov is executed based on the Gensym G2 platform within which powerful tools of modeling, visualization, planning and operational management of difficult physical and chemical and technology processes are provided.
The implemented system has the intuitive and simple user interface in mastering. All information is output to the central display unit in which the data on copper content in raw materials and products of melting, coordination of physical and chemical processes, to temperature condition given on problems of process control and possible scenarios of their permission are displayed. Such detailed visualization of process of melting in one window allows to increase quality of control of technology process and to accelerate decision making on its correcting.
