Since 2005, the ASOMI system - automation software for metrological accounting and control - has successfully operated at one of the enterprises of PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel. On the basis of the NERPA platform, the ASOMI successor, ASORMS, was developed. In May 2023, the process of pilot industrial operation of the software was completed and the stage of industrial operation in the stabilization period was launched, during which the complete migration from the historical systems of enterprises and the transition to ASORMS will be completed.

ASORMS is a specialized, software for managing and automating work in the field of metrological control, which is most focused on the customer's business processes. The goals of the transition to ASORMS included the centralization of the management system in the company's branches, including in remote areas, the modernization of metrological accounting procedures and an increase in the efficiency of equipment operation. When choosing Novosoft software, special attention was paid to the implementation of import substitution tasks and increasing independence from foreign vendors.

The software completely covers the needs of the Norilsk Nickel Group enterprises in terms of automation of metrological control. The introduction of ASORMS, as a successor system to the software from Novosoft, which was previously used by PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel, made it possible to seamlessly migrate data from historical metrological systems using import templates. Also, part of the migration was made from systems of other suppliers and developers that were operated at the enterprises of the mining and metallurgical company.

Thanks to the introduction of NERPA-Metrology and the emergence of a unified corporate management system, standardization and systematization of enterprise systems is ensured regardless of locality, the use of resources is optimized and responsibilities are redistributed between the performers of metrological work. This will allow 24/7 in the "one window" mode to monitor the performance of metrological accounting work and increase the efficiency of decision-making in case of emergency situations.

There are several ways to monitor processes, including through the software interface and using the Reports module, which has been finalized specifically for the needs of the company. The depth of access to information in the reports varies depending on the level of management and position of the employee. For the period of software operation, Novosoft provides extended technical and license support. In the future, it is planned to implement a system development plan.
