In 2017 system implementation of Solvo.TOS of version 5.0 for management of the Murmansk transport branch Norilsk Nickel MMC of transshipment facility was complete.
Prerequisites
In March, 2017 Norilsk Nickel completed upgrade of the overload terminal in Murmansk. The transport and logistic node is capable to process 1.5 million tons of container loads a year. Warehousing capacit make 100 thousand sq.m. Moorings are equipped with portal cranes with a loading capacity from 40 to 80 t. In a rear zone of the MTF overload terminal richstaker, fork loaders and two gantry cranes on pneumatic to the course, the containers intended for an overload up to 40 tons equipped with automatic spreaders and a control system for load provision are used.
Project Progress
Within the project specialists of Solvo implemented the following technologies on the terminal:
- Address accounting of containers;
- Electronic accounting of production document flow;
- Planning, accomplishment and accounting of transactions on all cargo fronts in the automatic and semi-automatic modes;
- Technology of identification of loads online using the protected mobile computers, wearable tallymans (acceptance inspectors) and mounted in cabins of the loading equipment;
- Generation and issue of tasks to tallymans and drivers of the overload equipment automatically and others.
Automation of such level allows to reduce the number of excess production operations, to optimize use of the equipment and human resources and to minimize quantity of errors of manual entry, thereby increasing overall effectiveness of a production cycle.
The implementation project of the automated control system for the Solvo.TOS terminal had also the specifics:
- The Norilsk Nickel company is in one person a stevedore, the agent of container lines, the shipowner, the cargo owner and the operator railway with own park of the rolling stock. Thus, completely closed production cycle turns out that needed to be considered at setup of a management system for the terminal;
- In addition to standard 20 and 40-foot containers on the terminal 20-foot containers are used 10-foot and also low (half height, 1.3 m high). For a possibility of optimal processing and accounting of non-standard containers in a management system the corresponding settings and completions were made;
- Solvo.TOS considers specifics on the ship front. For handling works on the mooring portal cranes, but not standard mooring overloaders are used. Container vessels which come on the terminal it is also in most cases not standard container carriers with standard 40-foot sections, and vessels of an ice class where containers are loaded in the general hold. All these specifics are reflected both in a loading unloading planning algorithm, and in logic of formation of automatic tasks a system. For this reason within the project the decision on development and deployment of a universal planning module of loading unloading of the vessel of any type was made. The module, in particular, allows to plan loading of the containers on vessels with a non-standard container configuration including having specifics of placement of fastenings under containers on the deck;
- The Solvo.TOS system supports management of movements of containers between platforms of the terminal which are made with the help both motor transport, and the rolling stock.
- On the automobile front automatic formation of admissions for journey of the check point was implemented: so-called "material" — on a load and the second — on transport with the driver.
Project Results
Thanks to system implementation of management of production processes of the Solvo.TOS terminal the customer had following features:
- Centralized operation by all park of the overload equipment;
- Fixing of accomplishment of production operations online;
- Planning of loading unloading of containers in the automatic mode;
- Flexible planning and more effective use of the territory of the terminal;
- Operational formation of documents of a production cycle and reporting;
- Reduction of the general time spent of cars for the terminal.
Among results of system implementation of Solvo.TOS on the overload terminal it would be desirable to note optimization of operation of the overload equipment and also emergence of a possibility of more operational change of a work progress during change thanks to implementation of the module of topology of a warehouse — V.S. Sidorenko, the deputy manager of the overload terminal — the main manager told. — In spite of the fact that the branch operates a system less than 1 year, it is possible to claim unambiguously: system implementation of automation allows the overload terminal to carry out more successfully the tasks, and further expansion of functionality and completion of the Solvo.TOS system under realities of the port of Murmansk will allow to optimize technology process and to increase efficiency of processing of loads. |
