Noringa company, one of proizzvoditel of drinking and mineral waters in Russia, finished in the spring of 2017 development of mobile application for internal use on process optimization of delivery of butylated water. Innovation is designed to simplify logistics at all stages of delivery: from order placement by the call center agent before goods receipt by the client and the reporting of the forwarding agent. Thanks to the project of the company it was succeeded to optimize business processes, to accelerate information exchange process, to reduce operating expenses and financial risks. Improvement of customer service quality due to decrease in quantity of errors and increase in efficiency in work became final effect.
The technology developed by IT department of the company with the assistance of external developers of mobile applications simplified interaction between call center agents, inspection department and the delivery service and also allowed to automate and make more exact process of information transfer about the transaction to the forwarding agent, and after delivery – in the reporting systems. The new mobile platform is completely integrated with the main accounting system, and is established on corporate tablets of forwarding agents — the drivers delivering water. To obtain all necessary information on delivery now it is enough to look in the tablet, and it is not necessary to browse a pile of papers or to call call-center managers.
At the beginning of each change forwarding agents obtain on the tablet the complete information from the server with all necessary data: run, plan of arrival to clients, list of goods and documents. Managers can monitor delivery process, to see results of visit by the forwarding agent of an endpoint and quantity of the shipped goods. If the operator during the day makes changes to the customer order, then the forwarding agent sees it online. At the end of the day in the application the report in which results of passing of a route, quantity of the delivered and returned goods and also a total sum of money for delivery in cash desk are displayed is automatically created.
The decision on development of mobile application was made after the analysis of business processes which revealed a low performance of "manual" document handling and a delay when obtaining information on perfect transactions. Today at the end of the working day there is information on all transactions with clients, deliveries, cancellings, transfers what allows to work quickly further. If earlier processing of papers from clients took several days managers, then now the tablet reflects the delivery fact online.
Mobile application is a continuation of the project on automation of processing of data on transactions with clients. Development of the system of hands-off processing of documents was the first stage. Now by means of the ABBYY FlexiCapture system documents are recognized when scanning in a barcode, checked automatically for correctness of a design, entered to electronic archive. Then the program makes the decision on need of completion of the document. The forwarding agent has enough to put at the end of the working day all documents in the scanner, and a system will process them further.
