2026: Introduction of inventory robots -
and Novabev Group Yandex Robotics automate warehouse operations. This was Yandex announced on March 12, 2026.
Novabev Group has introduced Yandex Robotics inventory robots at its distribution center in Moscow.
Yandex Robotics inventory robots work autonomously in the distribution center: they move between racks, scan goods and send data to the warehouse management system (WMS). This allows you to automatically check pallets with goods in storage places and quickly make adjustments in case of inconsistencies. To do this, the robot is equipped with lidar, cameras, ultrasonic sensors, as well as sensors for security.
Previously, such monotonous operations were performed manually. Now they are made by robots, freeing employees from routine actions and high-rise work, without the need to stop the warehouse for a long time. The speed of miscalculation of one alley has increased 60 times - now calculated in minutes, and not hours, as before with manual checks.
For Novabev Group, warehouse robotization is a mandatory and logical step in implementing strategic initiatives to introduce innovations, improve customer service and automation. The company is developing a culture of continuous improvement, where advanced technologies are used to increase business efficiency and develop employees.
Automation of retail and logistics operations is becoming more common. According to a study by Yandex Robotics and Industrial Robotics (ex. KUKA) 88% of companies plan to use mobile robots (AMR) in warehouses, and 71% plan to implement 10 or more such devices. The growing interest in robotization is associated with practical tasks that automation solves. A third (32%) of companies see it as a way to increase productivity, another 30% - a solution to the problem of staff shortages.
