2015: Advanta Project Management System Implementation

Novard Group of Companies, a diversified holding company (formerly known as Economica), uses the ADVANTA system to manage ideas.

Situation before

Relying on the best world practices, the company's top managers decided to use the expertise and potential of their employees to improve and optimize business processes. The task was set - to create a unique environment in the holding, where each employee will act as a generator of ideas related to the strategic goals of the organization. According to Pavel Moskalev, head of the corporate development department of the group, until 2015 the program was a certain success, but did not bring the desired results.

The main difficulties that arose during its implementation: the lack of a single information space and tools for public discussion of initiatives, duplication of proposals by organizational units, insufficient motivation of employees.

Choice

The management of Novard Group of Companies found an optimal solution to these problems - at the beginning of 2015, the ADVANTA system was introduced in the holding. The customer of the project was Deputy General Director for Personnel Management Tatyana Iliopulo. ADVANTA also met such criteria as the possibility of integration with existing IP in the company, as well as the prospect of developing a system for automating other business processes. The low cost of the program made it possible to implement the project of reengineering the innovation management system with significant savings in the holding's budget.

Results

Six months after the introduction of the system, it brought very tangible results: 158 improvement proposals, of which 54 were selected the most promising, more than 20,000,000 rubles of savings, and increased involvement of the organization's employees.

The system allows you to cover the entire business process from the moment the idea arises to the implementation of the initiative, while eliminating information loss and excessive bureaucracy. Authors can constantly refine and enrich the initiative through editing.

The program spells out the roles of the process participants, appoints responsible persons (author, implementation customer, system administrator, idea curator, efficiency expert, etc.), which provides the necessary control at each stage. Managers monitor the real-time status of their offerings, which facilitates rapid decision-making. Responsible employees are automatically alerted to new initiatives. For the purpose of increasing employee involvement in the innovation process, gamification elements are used: ratings, virtual titles. In addition, bidders are awarded bonuses that can be used when paying for goods in an online store.

Pavel Moskalev, Head of the Corporate Development Department of Novard Group of Companies, noted: One of the arguments in favor of the ADVANTA project management system was the fact that its implementation could be carried out by its own IT specialists with the remote support of the vendor. In addition, a simple and convenient interface did not require long-term user training.
