2021: Building an Optical Infrastructure
On July 19, 2021, the company Rostelecom"" announced that it had built Rostov region the Marchenkov Wind Farm (WES) JSC "" NovaVind(division of the state corporation "" Rosatom by) into optical infrastructure and connected to digital services to wind power. The WES was commissioned in early July 2021, its capacity is 120 MW - this is comparable to the monthly energy consumption of a city with a population of more than 100 thousand people.
Rostelecom specialists laid about 9 km of cable, including 7.6 km - underground, including communications and roads. Work was carried out at the stage of construction of the power plant, in difficult weather conditions. In addition to connecting to the Internet, the operator provided the wind farm with digital telephony and communication channels (E1 and VPN). Markenkovskaya VES became the fourth completed project of JSC NovaVind in southern Russia. For all existing wind parks, Rostelecom has created a digital infrastructure.
Rostelecom is a reliable digital partner that guarantees the quality of services for our facilities. Joint projects in the Rostov region, Stavropol Territory and the Republic of Adygea have strengthened our confidence in the right choice of partner, "said Dmitry Nikolin, director of the information technology department of NovaWind JSC. |
The principle of operation of the Marchenkovskaya wind farm is based on the technology of machine-to-machine interaction. Windmills are provided with sensors, controllers and control systems that transmit data to a single automated system. It, in turn, regulates the operation of the blades depending on the speed and direction of the wind, predicts breakdowns and ensures the stability of technological processes. WEC employees using Rostelecom network solutions collect telemetry data and coordinate joint work.
In 2021, the Rostov Region took first place in the country in terms of installed wind generation capacity. Wind power is a promising source of green energy. Each such object has an innovative component, works on the basis of digital services and is built with a focus on the future. High-quality digital infrastructure is a key factor in the success of wind farms. This is the fourth joint project of Rostelecom and NovaWind in southern Russia, and we intend to develop our partnership further, "said Sergey Mordasov, vice president and director of the South macro-regional branch. |
The WES for July 2021 consists of 48 wind plants of 2.5 MW each. All components and components for wind power plants, as well as the project software, were created by Russian developers.
