Noveks (Infor SCM WM (EXceed WMS))

In December, 2009 the recreation center Expert successfully completed the project of automation of a warehouse complex of the company the Logistic center (NOVEKS group, Barnaul) based on the software of Infor WM (Exceed WMS).

During the project the recreation center Expert prepared an implementation team from among employees of NOVEKS. Together with the prepared command specialists of recreation center Expert developed and implemented optimal technology of warehouse processing of goods and the accompanying document flow.

Results of Implementation

Carrying out the project of reorganization of management of a warehouse complex and automation of work allowed the Logistic center to pass when preserving volumes of the processed goods to accounting of expiration dates and separation of goods on owners. Reduce dependence on personnel and pass from branch-off groups of the storekeepers tied to assortment groups to unification of the work which is not requiring knowledge of the range and long training at a warehouse. Allowed to carry out planning of delivery routes even prior to assembly of orders.

Reorganization of the internal scheme of interaction of divisions of the company was carried out that allowed:

precisely and timely to plan the goods delivery; it is reasonable to set assembly priority priorities depending on shipment time; simplify the scheme of document flow. Automatic accounting of expiration dates and individual customer requirements on terms and packaging of goods is entered.

There was an opportunity to trace accurately illiquid and before past due balances of goods and to timely accept counter-measures.

Detailed accounting of the rendered services of safe custody for calculation of own costs and drawing of accounts to Clients of the Logistic center is entered. The differentiated system of accounting of the performed works and motivations of personnel is introduced.

The need for a warehouse stop for carrying out inventory disappeared. Accuracy of conducting commodity accounting increased.

Features of implementation

Adhering to the principle "business optimization of the Client, but not implementation of stamps" specialists of recreation center Expert developed and implemented unique functionality of background automatic optimization of the scheme of placement. The essence of functionality consists in dynamic redistribution of a zone of selection under goods.

The functionality of optimization of the scheme of placement provides automatic scope change and the cell addresses of storage selected under goods in a selection zone. At the same time dynamics of shipments of goods lately, quantity of assortment positions in cells, the volume and a tier of cells, remoteness of cells from a zone of shipment, the rule of mixing of goods in the set selection zone is considered. Within one cell a system does not mix similar goods that facilitates further processing of goods and reduces peresorta.

The mechanism providing "manual control with a selection zone" which is used for separate goods items of the requiring non-standard settings is provided in the developed functionality.

In addition to the procedures of optimization of the scheme of placement which are executed in the background this functionality also includes tools of the analytical reporting, for assessment of optimality of the current scheme of placement and forecasting of volume of the internal auxiliary transfers of goods which are not connected with shipment and acceptance.

Within the project the functionality of a workplace of the transport logistician facilitating planning process of expeditions of the goods delivery is expanded.

The automated workplace of the transport logistician allows in a convenient form to carry out planning of expeditions of delivery, grouping orders from Clients in the directions of delivery and other characteristics. The transport logistician and managers of trade department is given an opportunity of tracking of dynamics of preparation of orders for shipment with indication of the volume, weight, the range and processing complexity of orders.

As a result of carrying out the project on implementation of Infor WM of NOVEKS received the effective management tool a warehouse complex and that is not less important, received the command capable to competently use this tool for increase in efficiency of a warehouse. The NOVEKS command independently developed and entered processing of 3PL of services for new Clients and carries out start of a new warehouse.
