2020: Creation of the center of processing and data analysis
The NLMK Group, the international metallurgical company, announced on November 3, 2020 creation based on the mining assets of the center of processing and data analysis received using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). UAVs will be used to exploration works in career, condition monitoring of roads, heating systems, transmission lines and other infrastructure facilities. Economic effect of expansion of use of UAV technology is estimated at the level of 100 million rubles a year.
Use of aerial photo shoots will expand possibilities of the company in a number of production processes, in particular:
- There will be more exact and operational instrument of collection of information for geological exploration and other surveying works;
- The photogrammetry will allow to determine more precisely the content of iron and its distribution in mountain weight at once after explosion. It will give the chance to regulate shipment of ore from a pit to receive raw materials with a certain content of iron for stable work of enrichment factory;
- Using UAVs the road condition in career will be controlled. It will allow to repair timely roads that will affect fuel consumption level, service life of buses and frequency of repairs of dump trucks;
- UAVs will allow to perform thermovision shooting for reduction of heatlosses of buildings and heating systems, to remove dangerous or hardly accessible objects, such as smoke and air-channels, the tailings dam and others.
The total amount of aero photofilm-making works of the UAV center will be about 600 flights a year over 150 objects of 5 thousand hectares.
Use of pilotless lethal devices together with instruments of data processing – business process based on high technologies. It allows to obtain quickly information for the solution of the most different tasks: from production and logistic to ecological. The company is going to scale use of unmanned aerial vehicles on all platforms, - the vice president for power and ecology of NLMK Group Sergey Chebotaryov commented. |
