The Elarobot scanner is delivered in the Novosibirsk national research state university

One more university, the participant of the state program of development of the best universities of Russia "5-100", is equipped with completely automatic scanner for digitization of books. In December, 2015 the Elarobot scanner is delivered in the Novosibirsk national research state university (NSU). The new equipment will be used at the university for creation of a digital library.

The universal fund of Scientific library of Novosibirsk State University on structure contains about one million copies. The NSU library has domestic and foreign editions XVIII - the beginnings of the 20th centuries, a number of memorable book collections. "At the university the big research connected with ancient and rare books is carried out. The frequent addressing these books very negatively affects their status, – the leading specialist of Department of the organization and monitoring of educational activity of management of the academic policy of the university Irina Petrova tells. – The purchased scanner will allow to save invaluable books for descendants, having given them the chance to work with the most ancient literature. Besides, using this scanner from huge book fund of scientific library NSU the full-fledged digital library will be created".

Robotic book scanner will allow university to create quickly digital resources and to bring educational process to even more progressive level.
