Galex upgraded IT infrastructure of pharmacy chain of Novosibirsk

In the Novosibirsk pharmacy chain will earn modern Call-center soon - Clients will be able to call from any stationary or mobile phone toll-free uniform number and to learn availability of this or that medicine in any of pharmaceutical points of network.

Galex completed the first part of the project last year. Specialists of the company designed and built the corporate data network which integrated all drugstores and pharmaceutical points. For ensuring continuity of providing network services the failsafe scheme with reservation of network equipment and communication channels is implemented. The constructed KSPD prepared excellent base for further implementation of different services, for example, of creation of corporate IP-telephony.

"the STC of Galex" in 2015 completed the large project on upgrade of IT infrastructure of the municipal enterprise "Novosibirsk Pharmacy Chain" and built a uniform corporate data network. The project allowed to increase considerably efficiency of interaction of pharmaceutical points of network and promotes improvement of customer service quality.

"The Novosibirsk pharmacy chain" — one of pharmacy chains with long-term history including more than 100 drugstores and pharmaceutical points in all districts of the city. When performance of the existing infrastructure was exhausted and did not provide a possibility of implementation of new tools and smooth functioning of already used, the decision on implementation of the large-scale project on upgrade of IT infrastructure was made. In addition, the project was faced by a task to improve quality of interaction of head office and branches of the company.

The project is implemented by "Galex scientific and technological center" - one of the largest system integrators of the region.

Specialists of "STC of Galex" designed and built the corporate data network which integrated all drugstores and pharmaceutical points. For ensuring continuity of providing network services the failsafe scheme with reservation of network equipment and communication channels is implemented. The constructed KSPD prepared excellent base for further implementation of different services, for example, of creation of corporate IP-telephony.

For performance improvement the server framework is upgraded, the failover cluster of servers is created, the existing services are transferred to virtual environment.

Upgrade affected also a storage system and backup, as a result - requirements to the capacity of DWH were reduced at 10-30 times, having provided thereby a stock of space for storage of data bulks.

In project completion the solution allowing to manage new infrastructure on a centralized basis from head office, including to set and update software in workplaces of employees on all network is implemented.
