DA IT Company completed transfer of IT infrastructure of OMGMU to Microsoft 365 cloud

On January 10, 2019 the DA IT Company reported that it completed transfer of IT infrastructure of the Omsk state medical university (OMGMU) to Microsoft 365 cloud. According to the company, in a project deliverable, the educational institution received the solution which is completely satisfying to the available requirements and also annual financial economy on the maintenance of IT infrastructure. The Axoft company acted as the IT distributor of the project.

Due to the end of action in university of term of the program of licensing Academic and School Agreement (ASA) before IT department of the university there was a purpose to implement the most painless transition of the university from a subscription of ASA to other program of licensing with preserving of annual average costs on general-system and server SOFTWARE with a covering of all infrastructure.

It was required to solve the following problems: pick up an optimal variant of licensing of all IT infrastructure of university, remaining within the annual average budget, provide continued operation of the IT-system at all stages of project implementation, provide compliance of software to requirements of the current legislation.

The IT department of university announced the tender within which different options of licensing were considered. As a result the cloud solution of Microsoft 365 compatible to software set at the customer became the only product meeting to all amount of requirements of university. The cost of cloud option of licensing optimum fitted into a tough framework of the budget of university. DA IT Company which provided the most advantageous conditions of delivery of the solution became the winner of the tender held according to the federal law. The Axoft company acted as the IT distributor of the project.

This project – the first in Russia on transfer of university on Microsoft 365 subscriptions. Target users of software are the administrative, professorial personnel and also students of university – 800 subscriptions were purchased.

As a result of implementation of the next model of licensing we not only received software, completely satisfying to the available requirements of our university, but also annual financial economy on the maintenance of IT infrastructure. A set of products with advanced functionality allows to create competitive failsafe infrastructure for continued and comprehensive operation of all divisions of university and quality improvement of educational process at smaller annual finance costs and also painless migration from one program of licensing on another.
