2024: Implementation of automation at Kandalaksha station
The Railways division of the National Project has equipped the Kandalaksha station in the Murmansk region with Russian automation. This was announced by the 1520 Group of Companies on October 31, 2024.
Microprocessor centralization of MPC-EL of its own design and production was introduced at the facility. With the help of a digital system, station personnel will be able to control traffic lights through a computer and switch arrows, set train routes. The system has built-in protection against cyber attacks.
The main devices of the station were included in a single digital circuit: 93 switches and more than a hundred LED traffic lights. The equipment was installed in transportable modules.
Kandalaksha is already the fourth station of the October Railway, which the National Project companies have transferred to digital control mode.
The work is part of a project to expand approaches to the Murmansk transport hub. Digitalization increases line capacity and ensures transport security.
The implementation of the project will allow transporting more cargo to the ports of the Kola Bay, including to the Lavna coal terminal, which is being built by the Power and Ports Division of Napzroektstroy.

Implementation of automation at Pinozero station
The ZHAT GK 1520 division introduced the Russian digital control system for the movement of MPC-EL trains at the Pinozero station of the October Railway. The specialists replaced the outdated relay system of electrical centralization with a microprocessor system MPC-EL of its own design and production. The Group of Companies 1520 announced this on September 7, 2023.
The system will allow personnel to remotely control arrows and traffic lights, establish train routes and track the condition of equipment. Digital automation is adapted to the harsh climatic conditions of the region. The system has built-in cyber protection against unauthorized access to railway infrastructure.
Digitalization will increase the security and throughput of the line. Work - part of the line development program Murmansk - Petrozavodsk to increase cargo traffic to the ports of the northern part of the Kola Peninsula.
Implementation of automation at Chupa station
On April 1520 11, 2023, the Civil Code announced that it had introduced Russian digital automation at the Chupa station of the Oktyabrskaya Railway.
Work - part of the line development program Murmansk - Petrozavodsk to increase cargo traffic to the ports of the northern part of the Kola Peninsula.
Now the movement of trains at the station is controlled by the first domestic system of micro-centralization processor , MPC-EL development and production of the ZHAT GK 1520 Division. With its help, the personnel of the facility will adjust the arrows and traffic lights, draw up train routes, and track the condition of the equipment. Digital automation is adapted to the harsh climatic conditions of the region. It is built into the system cyber defense to prevent unauthorized access to railway infrastructure.
Digitalization increases the reliability, safety and throughput of railways, as well as simplifies technical support and maintenance of the system.
The project for updating the Chupa station was developed by Lengiprotrans JSC (part of GC 1520). In addition to the introduction of microprocessor control systems, it includes the lengthening and electrification of receiving tracks, the construction of an electrical centralization post and track heater heating points.

Implementation of MPC-EL at Kalashnikovo station
In the Tver region, specialists from the ZHAT Division (GK 1520) have introduced Russian digital automation at the Kalashnikovo station on the St. Petersburg - Moscow line . The Group of Companies 1520 announced this on December 16, 2022.
Now the movement processor of trains here is controlled by the domestic system of micro-centralization -. With MPC-EL its help, the station staff will adjust the arrows and traffic lights, draw up train routes, and track the condition of the equipment. It is built into the system cyber defense to prevent unauthorized access to railway infrastructure.
Kalashnikovo station is a landmark object for the country. In 1999, a microprocessor centralization system was installed here, then still foreign. Experience has become the basis for the introduction of digital systems on the highways of the Russian Federation and beyond. As of December 2022, a high level of technological independence allows us to introduce digital automation of our own development and production, "said Konstantin Khromushkin, Deputy General Director of the Group of Companies 1520 for innovative development and digital transformation. |
Implementation of MPC-EL at Uglovka station
Specialists of the ZHAT Division (GK 1520) launched a microprocessor centralization system MPC-EL at the Uglovka station of the St. Petersburg - Moscow line . The Group of Companies 1520 announced this on December 12, 2022.
The corner is another object on the main course of the October Railway, which was equipped with a digital system for controlling the movement of domestic trains and production.
Now the dispatching staff of the station will remotely monitor the parameters of floor equipment, build train routes according to the specified parameters, and diagnose pre-failure conditions. Cyber protection built into the MPC-EL system prevents unauthorized access to the railway infrastructure. Digitalization will significantly increase the efficiency of the line and traffic safety, reduce operating costs.
GK 1520, within the framework of the Russian Railways import substitution program, equips stations and tracks with domestic digital automation. In the near future, it is planned to launch the MPC-EL system at the Kalashnikovo station of the Oktyabrskaya Railway.
Uglovka station is a junction railway station located in the village of the same name. The station was opened in 1851, according to the main version, its name was the fact that at this place the profile of the railway track goes from climbing to descending, making up a certain angle.
Implementation of MPC-EL at Taibola station
On October 19, 2022, the Group of Companies 1520 announced that the specialists of the LAT Division had introduced a microprocessor centralization system MPC-EL at the Taibola station of the October Railway. The draft and working documentation was prepared by Lengiprotrans JSC (part of the Group of Companies 1520). The work is part of the economic development program of the Arctic zone.
The MPC-EL system controls arrows and traffic lights, builds train routes according to the established parameters, and also optimizes operating costs and reduces traffic intervals. Built-in cyber protection prevents unauthorized access to rail infrastructure.
The implementation of the MPC-EL (development and production of the Division of ZHAT GK 1520) optimizes the efficiency of transportation on the Apatity I - Murmansk line and will ensure traffic safety in the climatic conditions of the Arctic.
