The contract provides for the creation of artificial intelligence tools to transform the administrative operations of the military department. The developments will aim to improve medical care for military personnel and their families.

The system will also cover the optimization of the analysis of software and procurement data. In addition, it is planned to support proactive cybersecurity of military facilities.

Most of the work will be carried out in the National Capital Region, which includes Washington and surrounding counties in Maryland and Virginia. The contract was concluded with the OpenAI Public Sector LLC division.

The agreement is part of a new OpenAI for Government initiative that brings together all the company's government projects. The program includes a ChatGPT version for ChatGPT Gov government employees.

The initiative also covers collaborations with NASA, the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory and the Treasury Department. An integrated approach ensures the integration of AI technologies into various government structures.

OpenAI for Government will give US government bodies access to individual AI models for national security. Customers will receive support and information about product development plans.[1]
