The complex of logistics of Optimist company is automated by the WMS solution Manhattan Associates SCALE

In September, 2012 CORUS Consulting Group began automation of a new warehouse complex of Optimist Lodzhistiks company – the logistic operator of Optimist group which part are also Kuban Paints Trading house, retail network "Optimist" and Lakokraska distribution company. The construction of a warehouse complex about 7 thousand sq.m should be completed in December, 2012, start in operation is planned in February of the next year.

For automation the new version of the Manhattan SCALE 2012 platform is used. This solution was selected thanks to its flexibility, a possibility of fast reconfiguration under the changing business processes and possibilities of independent scaling without involvement of third-party consultants.

"The optimist lodzhistiks company was created as a separate business unit for rendering services of Optimist Group. It means that we actually automate a new warehouse complex of the new company, – the head of logistics of CORUS Consulting Group Alexander Trotsky comments. – It exempted us from a number of restrictions which you face when you do projects in the companies with the settled business. Us actually included in process of creation of the new company and its integration into the existing business. And our task – to provide not only all processes for the existing business model of the company, but also to make "a functional backlog" for its further development in the direction of providing 3PL-services".

System engineering is almost complete, the concept of business processes of a warehouse is developed. The project is going to be completed in February, 2013. Including, it is going to carry out integration of a new system with the accounting system "1C: Enterprise".

End of the Project

In March, 2013 the contractor completed the project on implementation of the WMS system of Manhattan SCALE in a new warehouse of Optimist Lodzhistiks company, the press service of integrator reported on April 9, 2013.

"We could bring into the shortest possible time the system constructed on the basis of theoretical calculations in compliance with real digits and tasks, thanks to flexibility and a possibility of fast reconfiguration under the changing business processes of the Manhattan SCALE 2012 platform", - Evgeny Evdokimov, the project manager from CORUS Consulting Group noted.

Specialists of Corus Consulting provided two-stage user training of the WMS system, formalized and gave the detailed description of business processes of new division.

During the project integration of Manhattan SCALE with the accounting system on the 1C Platform is carried out.
