The producer of cosmetics working according to the scheme of direct sales transferred more than 8000 employees to cloud services of Microsoft Office 365. It allowed to simplify communication, having increased the volume of mailboxes to 50 GB, to support mobile work of personnel and to save up to €200 thousand a year.
Cloud services of Office 365 provided employees of customer support departments and sales of Oriflame with working tools. Now they have access to mail and all necessary documents from where it is necessary also from the most different devices. Besides, the limit of volume of their mailboxes was raised to 50 GB that simplified file transfer. It made more effective internal communication between employees and ensured convenient functioning of distant employees and the management. Besides, transition to a subscription fee significantly cut down expenses of the organization: now it saves up to €200 thousand a year. At last, load of IT department which had an opportunity to find more time for issues of improving competitiveness of core business was reduced. The project was implemented together with the partner company of Beltel.
We introduced amendments in IT infrastructure to reduce costs and to make it more flexible. And we already received many positive comments from the employees who passed to Exchange Online. Considering our business challenges, we decided to begin to use also cloud services of Office 365 in which there is already everything that it is necessary for us, and it is even more. The Oriflame was founded in Sweden in 1967 and today works in more than 60 countries of the world. A part of employees of the company resides in traveling, the data access from any place and from any device is necessary for them. Earlier the IT system of the organization consisted of a large number of the mail servers placed in own infrastructure in Moscow and Prague. Because of it the volume of mailboxes was limited till 4-10 GB that strongly interfered with internal communications. Transition to Microsoft Exchange Online and Office 365 (plans of E4 and E1) allowed to increase the size of boxes to 10 times. Microsoft Office applications are available to all employees, including heads, distant and office workers now. The HR department of the company also started a number of projects on internal interaction and social network on the basis of Yammer.
In plans of Oriflame Cosmetics company creation the intranet portal based on SharePoint Online and also implementation of Skype for Business Online at the global level for further improvement of corporate communications.
