On July 19, 2016 the TrueConf company reported about an implementation project of a system of a video conferencing of TrueConf Server in Ortenau Klinikum.

Project Tasks

The Ortenau Klinikum clinic refused the outdated hardware system of a video conferencing for benefit of a software platform of the joint communications — TrueConf Server.

The clinic in Offenburg works in Saint Joseph's hospital, being the largest of nine provided in the State of Baden-Württemberg. Ortenau's radiologists use the special computer program which calculates a radiation dose for destruction of oncological tumors in work. Specialists fix data retrieveds and together with other doctors develop the plan of treatment of the patient.

As operational interaction of employees is very important for clinic, the video conferencing in Ortenau became the main tool for information exchange and joint work of doctors.

We wanted to install a simple and convenient system in use for carrying out video conferences between three points in which all participants would receive medical applications in high quality. Earlier we used the traditional systems of a video conferencing based on hardware MCU though transmission quality and did not conform to our requirements. Looking for replacement for the system of a video conferencing the management of clinic paid attention to TrueConf Server. On a test stage Ortenau's IT specialists set the test version of the server in the headquarters, having connected necessary options - LDAP and federation. Based on trial use, in clinic made the decision on acquisition of the license to use software.

Project Results

TrueConf Server integrated branches of clinic that employees could participate in regular meetings on a video conferencing from the jobs, passing installation of the additional expensive hardware. Integration of TrueConf Server solved a problem of manual control with LDAP accounts of users and facilitated questions administration and control of employee base, using video conference.

I am happy with the project in general. The solution TrueConf Server completely conforms to requirements which we put before the system of a video conferencing. The efficiency of technical support of TrueConf allowed to unroll quickly the system of a video conferencing in all organization.
