On November 29, 2013 it became known of end of the first stage of system deployment of the operational reporting and analysis on the basis of Oracle Business Intelligence in OSTCHEM holding.
Project Task
On preparation of the operational reporting in the companies of holding several hours a day left. There was no opportunity to create comparative reports for the period, on the enterprises, workshops, products type, a raw materials consumption on a certain type of products by the enterprises, etc. Separate information storage complicated access to historical data. The management of holding made the decision - to implement within all holding an automated system of the operational reporting on a technology platform for the business analysis of Oracle Business Intelligence.
Project Progress
Possibility of creation of a single system for all processes of budgeting, consolidation and drawing up all types of the reporting and also lower cost of ownership and possibility of support and development of a system by internal forces of the customer - the major criteria when choosing the supplier. At the first stage single sample solution is developed for budget management and the analytical reporting and implemented on a pilot object. At the second stage the solution is replicated on all enterprises of holding.
Project Results
As a result of implementation the budget policy is unified, formation of a uniform organizational and functional and financial structure of business units of holding is provided. It received a single information platform, transparency and comparability of budget data, unification of budget models of the enterprises and models of calculation of cost value, end-to-end approach to planning and accounting on places, and the companies of holding could accelerate preparation of daily analytical reports several times.
The project embraces all spheres of business activities of holding:
- production,
- accounting of a remaining balance in warehouses,
- cost accounting,
- finance,
- sales and shipment,
- purchases,
- material balance of natural gas and ammonia.
Use of Oracle BI helps to prepare the operational reporting within one hour. Material balances of natural gas and ammonia are loaded into a system directly from the enterprises. The works of holding given in a year are saved in the single database and are available to viewing and the analysis.
"Implementation of a single information platform for budget planning and control based on Oracle Hyperion Planning allowed us to reach transparency in resource management, beginning from operating budgets of business units and finishing with summary financial statements. The single system of financial and economic planning, control and analysis of the main directions of financial and economic activity was organized, at the same time, we reduced terms of formation of plans and budgets due to increase in budget discipline and also provided comparability of data at all levels of management", - Lashchinsky Konstantin Viktorovich, the director of budgeting and controlling of OSTCHEM told.
