Otkrytiye Arena is going to cover stadium with Wi-fi network

On December 16, 2014 it became known of plans of implementation at Otkrytiye Arena stadium of the technological solution of Huawei company for stadiums - Huawei Agile Stadium solution.

Project Tasks

Solving a problem of providing to 40-80 thousand users of simultaneous wireless Internet access on limited space, installation of a large number of access points Wi-Fi is not that method which provides the solution. Management of users and security policies also difficult task increasing amount of works.

In 2013 before the management of Otkrytiye Arena stadium there was a problem of the choice of the IT system as a part of which a LAN, the UPS, servers, storage systems, etc. After assessment of possible options in the company made the conclusion: a system can be created on the platform of the equipment Huawei.

The existing solution of Huawei will provide to fans broadband wireless access in the Internet, and it:

• possibilities of communication on social networks,
• exchange of a photo and video,
• vote for the best football player or the best scored meeting goal,
• viewing statistics of club and specific player,
• viewing repetitions of the heads and disputed issues of a match.
• the order of food and drinks with delivery to the place at stadium.

Project Progress

For Otkrytiye Arena stadium Huawei planned and implemented failsafe architecture of network, including a management system for tourniquets on the basis of a line of industrial equipment of Huawei, delivered a LAN (switches and routers), servers, storage systems, uninterruptible power supply units, implemented technology wireless Wi-Fi-network.

As the next stage of cooperation of Huawei it is ready to deployment of Huawei Agile Stadium solution at Otkrytiye Arena stadium.
