2022: During the year, 500 thousand travelers used the Sapsan system
Sheremetyevo International Airport on August 19, 2022 announced the results of the first year of operation of the Sapsan automated passport control system in Terminal C. Since the launch of the service at the airport in July 2021, more than 500 thousand travelers have used the service. In 2023, the share of Sapsan users from the total passenger traffic on international flights is expected to grow from 5.3% to 10%, which confirms the demand for the service among Sheremetyevo passengers.
SAPSAN is one of the technological solutions implemented in Terminal C to ensure high quality of service at all stages of the journey. The service allows passengers of international flights to quickly, contactlessly and comfortably undergo the necessary formalities before departure and upon arrival.
The Sapsan AFAS is based on the principle of passenger verification biometric data - fingerprints and face images, which are compared with the corresponding marks in his passport. The system is equipped with a high-tech ON with a special set, algorithms due to which the passport control process is automated at all stages: from reading data the boarding pass to deciding on the passenger's pass. SAPSAN provides a high degree of reliability and eliminates the possibility of unauthorized state border crossing.
Terminal C has 20 Sapsan cabins: 10 for departing passengers and 10 for arriving passengers, in the future it is planned to increase their number. The system is simple and easy to use, has a concise and intuitive interface. The total capacity of the Sapsan ASPK complex for August 2022 is up to 2 thousand people per hour around the clock, which allows maintaining high quality passenger service at the level of world standards in compliance with the necessary requirements and safety regulations.
