PSA Group provided the IoT platform for installation on the connected cars

On October 19, 2016 the Gemalto company announced the choice of the solution LinqUs On-Demand Connectivity by PSA Group company for factory installation on the next generation of the connected cars.

Project Results

Implementation of technology provides flexibility of management of subscriptions that matters, considering lives of cars. The technology allows PSA Group to use the remote servicing system for the connected cars, reducing operating costs, providing to drivers access to updates. Total cooperation - service of the company will cover all vehicles of the European producer of cars, after a certain date of production.

Using technology of the company Gemalto, PSA Group will have an opportunity to offer the consumer a number of services: communication between the connected vehicles, information and entertaining functions, navigation, rendering the emergency help, saving drivers from need of search of service station. Fleet management and software updates can be carried out far off, and the dealer centers Peugeot, Citroën and DS - to check a car status in advance and without additional time expenditure.

It is the important agreement in which our long-term intentions to work in the automobile sphere are reflected, and we completely join in PSA Group and we separate its progressive vision of the connected car.
