2021: Passing author supervision
The production and warehouse complex of the Finnish enterprise Pekkaniska, being built with the help of BIM technology, in the city of Khimki, Moscow Region, underwent author supervision. This became known on September 28, 2021. The procedure, carried out using a digital model and using laser scanning, allowed to improve the quality of control over work on the site.
The Pekkaniska complex covers an area of 11 thousand square meters. Its design took place in the Tekla Structures digital model, which allowed even at the stage of the pit to prevent potential errors and eliminate collisions. To control the geometry of the already built building and analyze deviations, Polymetrica, the designer of the object, conducted the author's supervision directly on the site by laser scanning.
The use of a three-dimensional model makes it possible to see the overspending of material, however, installation on the construction site itself can take place with marriage. Using the BIM model in combination with laser scanning allows you to significantly improve the quality of construction, helps the customer save materials and resources, "said Denis Kuptsov, regional director of Trimble Technologies for Construction. |
The author's supervision was carried out using Trimble laser 3D scanners at the stages of erection of the foundation, framework and floor. For this, the Trimble SX10 high-precision scanning tacheometer and the Trimble X7 compact laser scanner were used. Field work took about five hours, it took about the same amount of time to process data, which is significantly more efficient compared to traditional optical measurements, and at the same time the result is not a set of separate measurements, but a high-precision digital 3D model of the entire object.
The laser-scanned point clouds were processed in Trimble RealWorks software and imported into Tekla Structures to determine the deviations of the object from the design model.
Ground laser 3D scanning allows you to quickly obtain measurements of an object with high accuracy. 'Cloud of points' captures and forms in three-dimensional space the geometric position of the elements and parts of the object of shooting with exact coordinate reference. The mechanism for importing it into the Tekla Structures model makes it possible to check points for deviations using a color map for tolerances, "explained General Director Sergei Moguchev from Polymetrika. |
As noted by Damir Rezvanov, Manager of Key Customers of Trimble, the use of current equipment and software in the field of ground laser scanning provides a quick and efficient transition to work with a high-precision digital 3D model of the object at all stages of construction. The use of the BIM model in conjunction with laser scanning technologies accelerates the process of supervision of construction, improves the quality of work on site, helps the customer save materials and resources, and also simplifies the contact of the project office with specialists directly on site.
