2024: Implementation of "1C: Salary and Personnel Management "

In 2024, three representative offices of the international holding PepsiCo in the CIS switched to 1C solutions to automate personnel and calculation processes. In just 4 months, in the offices of PepsiKO of the Republics of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, the 1C integrator WiseAdvice-IT introduced regional configurations "1C: Payroll and HR Management."

In Uzbekistan, the processes of personnel accounting and payroll calculation of employees of PepsiCo representative office were not previously automated and were kept in spreadsheets and the outdated version of 1C: Accounting 8 for Uzbekistan.

In Kazakhstan and Belarus, personnel accounting was carried out in the old non-renewable regional configurations "1C: Payroll and HR Management." The support and development of these programs did not seem possible. A large number of transactions were calculated manually and only actual data was entered into the systems.

In this regard, the management of the PepsiCo CIS Group of Companies in 2023 set the task of transferring and adapting the above systems for three divisions to the 1C: Salary and Personnel Management software solution of version 3 with bringing the target processes to unified corporate standards.

The implementation of the selected software solution took place by region. First, the regional "1C: Payroll and HR Management" version of KORP was introduced for Uzbekistan, then in Kazakhstan and Belarus - professional versions of the current edition.

The peculiarity of the project was as follows:

  • Compliance with accounting standards within the framework of local legislation;
  • The need to adapt to the requirements of the legislation of regional systems;
  • High requirements for the automation of business processes by PepsiCo in terms of control and restriction of access rights.

Results:

  • Personnel accounting and payroll processes are brought to the same PepsiCo standards in 3 countries;
  • Optimized cost of software ownership with minimization of risk of removal from support of historical systems due to the transition to the modern 1C:Enterprise 8.3 platform with the possibility of obtaining standard updates;
  • In the Republic of Uzbekistan, the processes of personnel accounting, payroll calculation and submission of regulated reporting to regulatory authorities in accordance with regional requirements have been automated;
  • Automated reporting processes for the Republic of Belarus, since 2024 a new form of mandatory PO-3 report was introduced (information on personal income);
  • Increased efficiency of obtaining information due to integration with the main accounting system "1C:ERP Enterprise Management" in each regional division;
  • Integration with the "Client-Bank" system for unloading initial payment orders was implemented, due to this it was possible to free up to 10% of employees' time;
  • Increased transparency of payroll and human resources processes and sharing of access rights based on PepsiCo's internal policies;
  • Personnel productivity increased due to elimination of duplication of functions, input errors and excessive information processing;
  • The risk of retroactive data entry without the approval of higher managers is eliminated.

Current versions of regional solutions based on "1C: Payroll and HR Management 3" allowed PepsiCo to optimize payroll processes and free up up to 25% of the time of employees of personnel and payroll departments, as well as reduce costs by 30% for updating, developing and supporting 1C bases.
