The Softprom company completed implementation of an automated system of budget management of PlanDesigner in the trade holding "Makslevel" which is engaged in wholesale and retail distribution of plumbing fixtures, furniture and the heating equipment.
The holding has nine branches in all federal districts of Russia, five specialized interiors of plumbing fixtures in Moscow, three distribution centers. Number of staff of the company is more than 1000 employees.
The project on automation of budgeting lasted six months. Two consultants of Softprom company and three employees of holding (the head of the planning and economic department, the senior economist and the IT specialist) entered into project team. The choice of the automation system took two months.
In the course of implementation in a system problems of unification and unity of the used reference books were implemented; consolidations of budgets of holding; automation of procedures of regulation of budget process, approval of budgets, analysis of their execution; formations of sales budgets, income and expenses, cash flows, compensations, purchases, taxes and also the budget for the balance sheet sheet and investment budgets (by the centers of responsibility). Distribution of indirect expenses by any allocation bases, multi-currency and multiscenario planning, sequestering of budgets was automated. Besides, integration of PlanDesigner with the accounting system of ALPHA was carried out.
Automation of budgeting allowed the company to refuse use of the separate files of Excel generating often contradictory information. The management was provided with qualitative plans and the reporting, terms of preparation of budgets and the reporting are reduced. With growth of the company, changes of structure or account policy a system can be flexibly customized and adapted. As a result, by estimates of the customer, the company it was succeeded to reduce inefficient manual work and to switch the employees to the solution of strategic tasks and also to achieve reduction of dependence on department of IT.
