Yandex and PONY EXPRESS completed the project on implementation of algorithms of Yandex. Routings. Announced this PONY EXPRESS on September 3, 2020. Integration of the platform into the system of transport logistics PONY EXPRESS will increase efficiency of planning of routes on "the last mile" and will increase labor productivity of driver couriers. Will provide high-quality synchronization of the mobile express departments (MED) with drivers on routes.

According to preliminary estimates partners, the technology will help to optimize costs for logistics in the company to 25% and to increase labor productivity of couriers to 20%. Besides, service of Yandex will allow PONY EXPRESS to analyze quality of work and timeliness of delivery of a load.

"The last mile" in a courier delivery – one of the most difficult stages of a logistics chain. It depends on a set of factors which influence terms and speed of delivery and often arise in real time. The algorithm will allow the staff of the company to find within 15 minutes the best logistic solution – taking into account a situation on roads and restrictions in movement, changes in delivery (at the request of receivers) and the arising tasks on a route, – Danil Shelekhov, the Yandex project manager told. Routing. – By search of logistic solutions a system will consider necessary parameters – a priority of tasks on time, need of synchronization with a CIE, weight and dimensional characteristics of departures and requirements of regulations of transportation. It is important for the company which services departures from the different industries and undertakes to provide the stated level of service.

We continue to prepare for a high season to save the level of service during the peak period. Implementation of an algorithm will help us, including to improve synchronization of work of the mobile express departments (MED) with driver couriers who work in certain areas. The algorithm adapts routes of district couriers for time and the address of a meeting with a CIE, helps to monitor loading of cars, to quickly fulfill urgent and new orders. At the end of nearly a year of work, CIE already increased labor productivity of driver couriers by 15-20% and reduced vehicles mileage at least twice. Thanks to implementation of an algorithm we expect increase in performance indicators, – the operating officer of PONY EXPRESS Sergey Sergushev shared. – Besides, such complete solution will allow to save the accuracy of observance of time frames and delivery by certain time, will save a possibility of delivery in the approved date at change of its parameters".
