2021: Start of the project to create a digital double of Portenergo LLC

Infopro Group LLC, an expert consulting company in the field of automation of energy enterprises, announced on February 17, 2021 that it would develop a digital twin of Portenergo LLC to optimize equipment operation modes and improve the company's energy efficiency. The program product will be introduced into the operation of the complex for transshipment of liquefied hydrocarbon gases (LPG) in the Leningrad Region.

Portenergo LLC carries out transshipment of liquefied hydrocarbon gases and light oil products for export in the sea port of Ust-Luga. The operator of the Portenergo LLC complex is Sibur Holding PJSC, a producer of petrochemical products in Russia. The annual turnover of the complex is 5.2 million tons.

The digital twin will optimize the control production processes of the complex, calculate energy efficiency indicators and simulate energy consumption. The solution will be built on big data using machine learning methods to solve the problems of forecasting and subsequent optimization of energy consumption. Within the framework of the project, Infopro specialists will also integrate the system with the current IT solutions of the customer. In particular, the digital twin will be connected to the Automated Process Control System (APCS) of the enterprise, which will allow Portenergo personnel to receive online recommendations for the optimal operation of the equipment, as well as accumulate new large data arrays for retraining models in case of changes in performance.
