The Premium Standard printing house implemented a system "1C: Polygraphy 8"

Customers: Premium Standard Printing house

Moscow; Polygraphic activity

Product: 1C: Polygraphy

Project date: 2015/03  - 2015/08

The Armex company completed in the summer of 2015 system implementation "1C: Polygraphy 8" in the Moscow printing house Premium-standart LLC. In a project deliverable the schedule system of orders for production is optimized, the regular supply of work centers is adjusted by materials, uniform loading of production divisions is provided with orders. Equipment downtimes are reduced by 20-30%. The management reporting is prepared 4 times quicker. The enterprise could increase by 30% production volumes on the available production capacities without loss of quality. Speed of accomplishment of orders increased. The general profitability of orders increased by 3-5%.

The Premium-standart printing house works at the market of printing services more than 12 years. Since 2009 specializes in deliveries for the pharmaceutical industry. Today the company is the leader in a segment of production of instructions, summaries, booklets, other specialized printed material. Besides, the printing house offers services in traditional and industrial design, a broshyurovka, scoring, stamping, lamination, perforation and other postprinting processing.

Daily the printing house receives about 100-130 orders for production of a printed material. For their timely accomplishment it is necessary to calculate precisely materials requirement taking into account the current stock remainders, in time to create supplier orders, it is rational to plan loading of production lines, to control production at each stage of a fabrication cycle.

Earlier for the purposes of operational and production accounting at the enterprise spreadsheets and paper carriers were used. On calculation of materials requirement a lot of time left. It was difficult to plan work of production divisions. Material accounting on production had to be kept manually. There were inaccuracies when planning orders for production. It complicated works on a printing equipment. The idle times connected with untimely supply of materials that, in turn, led to lag from the diagram and to failures to meet time constraints of delivery of products to the customer were frequent.

To continue intensive development, a number of natural "scale-up problems" was required to overcome the companies - to eliminate failures in supply, to find cost reduction methods, to increase efficiency of production planning, to improve interaction between departments. The integrated information system which would allow to automate work of all staff of the company, from an administrative and management personnel to employees on production had to help with the solution of these tasks.

As the software product the solution "was selected by 1C: Polygraphy 8". System implementation passed with active participation of specialists of Armex company, the partner of 1C Company having considerable experience of successful automation of the polygraphic enterprises.

Key results of the project:

  • All information on productive activity of the enterprise is available in electronic form now: data on orders, accomplishment of the production schedule, expense and availability of materials, settlement with partners, shipment of finished goods. It allowed to accelerate and arrange acceptance and distribution of orders in production on work centers, the speed of accomplishment of orders increased. The diagram of loading of the equipment became more dense and in printing house could increase products production volume.
  • Managers and managers of the company always possess now information on what orders are at the moment executed and what stand in a queue. Besides, in a system information on stages of passing of orders on a technology chain and degree of their readiness is reflected. It helps to control and to strictly observe terms of accomplishment of orders that positively affects customer relations and increases the level of their trust to the enterprise.
  • Up-to-date data about a status of orders help technologists and managers to introduce quickly amendments in production plans, to manage flexibly loading of the equipment and to take if necessary timely measures on warning of non-staff situations. As a result the equipment of printing house works without idle times, and average development of products in natural indicators on one working increased on average by 10%.
  • Exact calculation of planned amount of the materials necessary for accomplishment of each specific order is adjusted. Material requisitions form taking into account the current remaining balance and the production schedule approved in a system. Duration of the idle times connected with the shortage of required materials was as a result reduced, financial losses from idle times decreased by 40-50%.
  • Material accounting in a warehouse is kept with necessary detailing by characteristics now - field width, a format, paper density, etc. - according to all nomenclature. Thanks to it it was succeeded to arrange and simplify carrying out inventory, and exact information on stock remainders helps to plan purchases of materials better. At the enterprise the technique of production planning of products was developed. Planning of orders for production is performed on 100-130 orders a day, plans are formed for a period of 3-4 weeks. Availability of information on exact planning of each order in time allowed printing house to determine exact terms of production and to approve them with clients, avoiding thereby force majeur situations. It allowed to increase a customer loyalty to the company.
