In mid-May 2025, it became known that the production of Avtotor Chinese cars and began at the Kaliningrad plant Omoda "." In Jetour particular, the vehicle type approval (OTTS) was received by the Omoda C5 and Jetour T2 crossovers.

OTTS must be obtained if mass production or import of cars, trailers and motor vehicles to Russia from abroad is planned. The document certifies the compliance of wheeled vehicles with the current safety requirements and environmental standards.

Omoda C5

As noted by the Motor.ru resource, OTTS on Omoda C5 and Jetour T2 appeared in the Rosstandart database. Two companies from the Avtotor Holding structure received documents with a validity period of one year. In the case of Omoda C5, an alternative trademark is also indicated - Onives. This name Chery (the parent company of Omoda and Jetour) registered in the summer of 2024 along with a number of other brands, including Jaceer, Innova, Skala, Jaegoo, Fatena, Atlantis, Fateno, Maxeed, etc.

Omoda S5 is a fastback crossover developed as part of the proprietary Art in Motion concept. The model is available in Russia in a version with a 1.5-liter engine with 147 horsepower, a variator and front-wheel drive, as well as in a modification with a 1.6-liter engine with 150 horsepower, with a seven-band robotic transmission and all-wheel drive.

In turn, the Jetour T2 is powered by a 245 horsepower 2-litre engine that is paired with a dual-clutch robotic transmission in an oil bath or hydromechanical automatic transmission. The XWD all-wheel drive system with intelligent torque control and differential lock is used. Seven driving modes are available for driving in various conditions.[1]
