Kalashnikov has launched the production of mobile control points (MPUs) for working with unmanned aerial vehicles. This was reported to the concern on December 6, 2023.
The production of LCPs is carried out under a state contract with the NPO Izhevsk Unmanned Systems. The control center is created on the basis of the chassis of KAMAZ-4350 off-road vehicle, designed for transportation, storage and maintenance of the transported complex with drones. LCP from the composition of complexes with unmanned aerial vehicles is used to adjust the firing of high-precision ammunition.
Kalashnikov created a division of special machines created on the Izhevsk site of the concern in 2023. He is engaged in the production of complexes with controlled barraging ammunition. The complexes are designed for high-precision destruction of remote single and group ground objects of the enemy. As part of the implementation of state contracts, the division of special vehicles produces ground-based guided ammunition launchers, test vehicles, special-purpose equipment maintenance equipment, conducts design support for the serial production of 9M333 anti-aircraft guided missiles, and also organizes work on the production of new missile defense systems.
According to Kalashnikov, NPO Izhevsk Unmanned Systems is producing military drones of the Garnet-4 aircraft type. A UAV equipped with a gasoline engine can hang in the air for up to six hours, adjusting artillery fire and illuminating targets for precision weapons within a radius of 70 km from the LCP. The cruising speed of the device is 100 km/h.[1]
