2021: Implementation of "1C: ERP Enterprise Management"
Prof-IT Group reported on March 31, 2021 about end of the project of the translation "the VRK Plant Sapphire" on the updated Enterprise resource planning on the basis of the decision "1C:ERP Upravleniye predpriyatiyem". The company's specialists have created a unified information system for managing the operating and production activities of the enterprise.
The Sapphire Screw and Steering Column Production Plant LLC was created with the participation of Rosneft and General Electric in 2016 with the aim of industrializing the project for the assembly and maintenance of screw and steering columns, as well as localizing the production of the main elements of the electric propulsion system in the Russian Federation. The design capacity of the plant makes it possible to satisfy the need for this equipment for ships of various classes, including gas carriers of high ice class. The plant as of March 2021 is a resident of the territory of advanced socio-economic development "Big Stone."
The key objectives of the project were to automate the main business processes of the company, consolidate information in a single system to increase the efficiency and timeliness of management decisions, increase the speed of information processing and management decisions.
The project covered the work of all divisions of the VRK Sapphire Plant. The automation loop included production management, regulated and financial accounting, budgeting and planning, procurement, logistics and warehouse, personnel management, document management and NSIs.
One of the challenges in implementing the project was the need for parallel implementation of key functionality and the transfer of data from the historical systems of the enterprise. The selected project approach and implementation methodology made it possible to eliminate the risks of disruption of the production schedule, as well as quickly begin to receive structured financial and production reports.
In changing conditions, shipbuilding enterprises need to increase their flexibility, reduce costs and control the quality of products. The implemented project is the foundation for further digital transformation of the plant. All subsystems implemented during the project are integrated with each other, they are based on single NSI directories and support end-to-end interaction processes of all divisions of the company.
