"Prof industry Center" updates ERP

In Profindustriya-Centre company the project on transition to the new version of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 system is complete. As the partner in implementation the NaviCon company is attracted.

The foundation was laid for cooperation of two companies in 2007 when at the client the MS Dynamics NAV 4.0 system was implemented. Due to business development of the company the used solution ceased to satisfy to the increased needs of the customer. The management made the decision on transition to the new version of a system.

The new version of a system includes advanced functionality, in particular, communication about bank client, a possibility of delivery of the electronic reporting in state bodies, online updating of rates. Also the solution contains enhanced integration capabilities and allows to replace the customized functionality with standard functionality of the new version.

Process of updating of the version consisted in updating of objects of a standard system, the customized code and also in data transfer. All these three bases are supported from Microsoft in the form of documentation and tools that does process transparent, and result - predicted.

According to Alexey Marinin, the manager of projects of support of NaviCon company, for the period of updating of a system development in the working database was stopped – it allowed to remove "mold" of objects and to work only with it. Some blocks of the used system were significantly changed that caused difficulties at transfer of the completions implemented in these blocks. But the most difficult was to fix problems in localization of the service module.
