On September 3, 2019 Rostelecom reported that it completed process of connection of PSB to service of remote identification in a Single biometric system. PSB became one of the first banks ready to providing financial services using biometric identification.

In PSB with remote identification it is possible to open the account, to make transfer or to submit the application for the credit. Now any citizen registered in a Single biometric system can become the client of bank without visit of office PSB. It is for this purpose rather simple to confirm the personality using biometric personal data — persons and voices.

PSB continuously works on that interaction of the client with bank became simpler, more convenient and quicker. Our priority — development of remote services and digital channels of service. Now any resident of Russia, without coming to us to office, can become the client of PSB far off, using biometrics. No matter, where you are. If you ever registered biometrics in a Unified identification and authentication system, then to become the client of our bank, will be the computer and Internet access enough, noted the director of directorate of digital business of PSB Yury Chernyshev

PSB — the active participant of study of mechanisms of remote identification. Are glad that the command of PSB of one of the first started an opportunity for citizens to receive banking services completely in electronic form. For September, 2019 more than ten thousand departments of banks across all Russia are already connected to a Single biometric system. It allows to receive banking services in any place and at any time, and all process on opening of the account is reduced to several minutes. We calculate that until the end of the year all banks with the universal license will be connected to collecting of biometrics. We actively work on increase in convenience of collecting of biometrics, expansion of number of the services available to citizens, after delivery of biometric samples and also increase in points of collecting of biometrics. Remote identification allows to receive complete functionality of PSB Internet bank. For an input the client will need the computer with the webcam and the microphone and Internet access. A system will suggest to specify the phone number, to become authorized on the portal of state services and to permit data transmission in bank, then it is necessary to undergo testing of the person and a voice. After that the service agreement which the client also signs online will be created. The last step — to think up the login. The client will receive the password on the specified number then he will be able to use Internet bank. It is possible to register biometric data in departments of authorized banks. For this purpose the passport and the Insurance Number of Individual Ledger Account is required.

PSB participates in creation of a Single biometric system from the first conceptual phases and actively works on its improvement and development. In the fall of 2018 the bank among the first participants of a pilot project started service of acceptance of biometric data, by the end of 2019 such opportunity will appear at all offices of bank.
